Purpose-Built for PDO Management

DROP-X is a dropped object prevention and PDO (Potential Dropped Object) management platform. Upload level plans and floor plans, then work from clear maps so teams can quickly find PDOs, zones and actions.

Everything in one place — hazards, evidence, actions and verification — in a robust, auditable system.

Built for high-risk environments including:

  • Oil & gas
  • Offshore
  • Construction
  • Utilities

See the map in action

Explore an interactive floor plan with pulsing hotspots — the same style of map you use in DROP-X to place and manage PDOs and hazard zones.

Why teams use DROP-X

Visual, map-based workflow

Manage PDOs directly on level plans, floor plans, or UAV views your teams already use.

Compliance ready

Clear history of changes, audits and removals to support regulatory reviews.

Built for PDO programmes

Designed around the PDO lifecycle, from identification to verified removal.

Built for the full PDO lifecycle

Identify hazards, assess severity, capture evidence, and track actions through to verified removal — with clear reporting and auditability.

PDOs & Hazard Zones

Place PDO pins with one click and draw hazard zones on the map. Zones link to PDOs so you always know which area each hazard belongs to.

Severity Calculator

Enter object mass and drop height (metric or imperial). Get an estimated severity and impact speed, with definitions to support risk decisions.

Details & Images

Capture critical PDO details including dates, tagging status, work orders, and removal deadlines. Record hazards, mitigations and marked-up images.

Register

View and filter the full PDO register by type and severity. Track active counts and overdue removal dates, and prioritise follow-up from the map.

Trending & Dashboard

See counts by PDO type and severity, filter by asset, and spot hotspots and overdue removals or audit dates so teams focus on what matters.

Audits

PDOs are fully auditable with creation and save dates for traceability. Add interim audit reviews to monitor condition, risk and mitigation effectiveness.

Frequently asked questions

  • How can I arrange a demo?

Contact us for an overview of the webapp explaining features, and to get access to a demo.

  • What happens after my demo?

After the demo, we can set up a company-specific logon on a Standard or Enterprise plan. Customisation is also an option—get in touch to discuss your needs.

  • Is my data secure?

Yes. Data is stored securely and access is controlled by your organisation, which advises the accounts required. We host the platform on secure cloud servers. You can export data (e.g. CSV, images, PDF reports) if you require and manage user roles.

  • Can I use my own floor plans or level images?

Yes. You upload level images (floor plans, deck layouts or aerial imagery) per asset. Each level can have its own map with PDOs and zones.

  • What file formats do you support for floor plans or level images?

You can upload common image formats for level backgrounds (e.g. floor plans, deck layouts, aerial imagery). We can also assist with lifting floor plans from CAD or other formats—see the support FAQ or contact us for details.

  • What support do you offer?

Support depends on your plan. We can assist with lifting floor plans from CAD files or other formats (for a nominal fee) and with set-up if required. Setting up the webapp is designed to be intuitive and includes a built-in help section. Get in touch via the contact form for details; we aim to respond to enquiries promptly.

  • What is a PDO?

A PDO (Potential Dropped Object) is any item that could fall and cause injury or damage—e.g. tools, equipment, or materials at height. DROP-X helps you identify, track, mitigate, and verify removal of PDOs in one auditable place.

  • Does it work with poor or intermittent internet?

Yes. The webapp detects when you go offline and handles reconnection, so it can be used on sites with limited or unreliable connectivity.

  • How do user roles work?

There are three account types: User (create and edit PDOs), Editor (full edit access), and Read-only (view and export only). Your organisation decides who gets which role.

  • Can I use DROP-X on mobile or tablet?

DROP-X works best on desktop web browsers. It can also be used on devices with a minimum screen size of a landscape iPad; we recommend a minimum display size of 1024×768 pixels for the best experience.

  • Is there a limit on PDOs or assets?

Limits depend on your plan. Contact us or see the pricing section for details on what’s included in each tier.
